Papa John’s is seeking a Transportation Shift Supervisor to help lead daily transportation operations and direct the team in the absence of the Transportation Manager. Responsibilities

• Assist with payroll, PUC reporting, fuel usage tracking and routing.
• Supervise Delivery Specialists, conduct performance reviews and lead team meetings.
• Train new Delivery Specialists using the PJ Food Service SOP Manual and supervise training routes.
• Coordinate daily transportation activities including backhauling and equipment movement between the QC Center, vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure drivers comply with Department of Transportation regulations (Drug and Alcohol Policy, hours of service).
• Maintain accurate departmental records.
• Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance with service providers to ensure availability.
• Interact with other departments to ensure timely delivery.

Job Summary

The Transportation Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting in leading daily transportation operations and directing operations in the absence of the Transportation Manager. This position will ensure adherence to all quality assurance programs, develop leadership skills in self and direct reports, and create a safe working environment according to PJFS standards. This position ensures excellence in customer service through product availability and accurate loads within specified delivery/dispatch windows to Papa John’s restaurants.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative duties, including but not limited to payroll, PUC reporting, fuel usage tracking and routing.
• Supervise Delivery Specialists, conduct timely performance reviews and hold regularly scheduled team meetings.
• Assist in training new Delivery Specialists through the use of the PJ Food Service SOP Manual. This may include facilitating training routes, assisting in unloading product, coaching proper product handling and training proper paperwork procedures such as DOT logbooks, alarm, and key procedures.
• Assist in daily activities of the transportation team, including but not limited to backhauling and moving equipment between the Quality Control Center, equipment vendors, and other suppliers as necessary.
• Assist the Manager in confirming drivers are in accordance with Department of Transportation “DOT” regulations (Drug and Alcohol Policy, hours of service, etc).
• Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
• Assist the Transportation Manager in managing fleet and equipment repair and regular maintenance through the service provider, ensuring equipment availability or sourcing rental equipment.
• Interact with and assist other departments to accomplish efficient and timely delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
