Job summary

Coinstar is hiring a Transportation Services Representative to handle coin and cash operations and route-based vehicle duties across a defined region. You will plan daily tasks with your manager and adjust to changing priorities, weather, and route conditions.

The role requires high school completion, 1+ year of transportation/customer service experience, and the ability to operate electro-mechanical equipment. A CMV certification and a flexible schedule are expected.

• Previous experience in handling a position of responsibility with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform coin & cash handling and transportation services.

• Comply with FMCSA regulations and related company policies.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Report quality problems and other technical problems through proper escalation channels.
• Display maturity and judgment in time management and expense control.
• As a representative of Coinstar, promote and maintain good customer relations through high standards of personal appearance, ethical behavior, maturity and good judgment.
• Properly maintain assigned laptop, cell phone, equipment, company vehicle, Coinstar spare parts inventory, tools, and manuals.

Job description

The Transportation Services Representative is responsible for providing coin & cash handling and transportation responsibilities which involves using a specialty designed hand truck to pull/push coin bins weighing up to 600lbs from the kiosk to a company issued truck and deliver them to a designated location. With input from your manager, you will plan and schedule your days, making adjustments as new priorities and tasks arise. You’ll work in an environment where route, daily tasks and weather conditions can (and will) change on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Must have excellent personal and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of customers.
• Accountable for providing support to customers that meet Coinstar's standards of superior quality service and professionalism at all times.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Other Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record; background checks, MVR and drug tests will be required
• A Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification (CMV) will be required upon hire
• As required employees must work a flexible schedule including early start times, holidays, weekends, etc.

Physical Requirements

Transportation Representative work involves operating a commercial motor vehicle to service kiosks within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a commercial motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting and frequently climbing in and out of the truck, and ascending and descending the step into the truck. Frequently positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to handle, move or lift objects weighing up to 85 lbs. and frequently moving coin bins weighing up to 600 lbs. using a specially designed hand truck. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Must be able to pass the DOT medical exam.

Pay and Benefits

The typical starting pay range for this position is between $18.26-$23.00 per hour. Coinstar utilizes geographically based pay ranges, within the United States, which allows us to pay competitively and consistently based on location. Within the range for the applicable geographic area, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Short-Term bonus incentives are a part of the total compensation package and are based on Company and Individual performance.
