We welcome both trainees and fully licensed CDL B or higher drivers; training cost will be fully covered by the Upper Darby School District. Trainees earn $22.00/hour during training, while fully licensed drivers start at $25.00/hour. This part-time opportunity supports student transportation needs and community service.

Job Description

The Upper Darby School District Transportation Department is seeking safe, responsible, and professional drivers to join our team for the 26/27 School Year.

We welcome both fully licensed drivers and trainees to apply. If you possess complete credentials (CDL B or higher, S and P endorsements, and Air Brake restriction removed), you will start as a fully licensed driver. All new hires will initially be placed in trainee status until the necessary credentials and endorsements are verified, and the road test is successfully completed.

The cost of training required to become a fully licensed driver will be fully covered by the Upper Darby School District.

Available: Trainees Hourly Rate: $22.00/hour during training

Fully Licensed Drivers Hourly Rate: $25.00 /hour to start

Qualifications:

  • Clear driving record - safety conscious
  • Time management skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet physical/sensory demands of job
  • Prior experience preferred, but not required

Clearances:

  • FBI Criminal Clearance
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • PA Criminal Record Background Check
