Qualifications

Beaver County Transit Authority has an opening for a Transportation Safety & Security Supervisor at our Expressway Travel Center in Aliquippa, PA. As the county’s public transportation provider, this individual is responsible for directing the Authority’s safety and security program and is the Chief Safety Office for the Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP) at the Authority.This position is responsible for reducing the number of accidents and incidents through company related plans and policies, thereby reducing losses and associated costs of vehicle accidents. On call for the Operations Dept.Job Duties to include, but not limited, to;- Safety orientations for all new hires, including classroom and behind the wheel training
- Responds to vehicular collisions and occupational injuries, conducts investigations and completes accident and injury reports as required.
- Makes determinations regarding root cause, fault and retraining as well as makes recommendations to mitigate future losses
- Schedules and coordinates all in-service safety meetings and safety committee meetings
- Ensures compliance with all Local, State and Federal standards and regulations
- Creating safety policies, procedures and training materials ensuring implementation and adherence
- Observes, evaluates and documents driving behaviors, road operations and vehicular footage for safety violations
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transit operations required including supervisory experience. Must have a minimum 2 years experience overseeing a comprehensive fleet and workplace safety and training program. Microsoft Office skills are a must. Must have a CDL. Strong organizational, communication and excellent presentation skills required.Full time benefit package including PTO, 6 paid Holidays, free LTD and Life Ins after 6 months and SEP-IRA eligible after 3 years. Salary range - $60,000 - $65,000
