Job summary

Blue Line Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer focused on transportation, roadway safety, and traffic engineering to support automated enforcement systems and related public safety infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have five plus years in traffic engineering and permitting, a Tennessee PE license, and proficiency with AutoCAD, site planning, and coordination with agencies and utilities. This role includes substantial field work and travel up to 50% across the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or transportation engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Tennessee.
• 5+ years of progressive traffic engineering and permitting experience.
• 3–7 years in civil/transportation engineering disciplines.
• Experience developing engineering plans, site layouts, and permitting documentation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Develop site plans and permitting packages for automated traffic enforcement systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Design equipment layouts considering roadway geometry, utilities, visibility, and safety.
• Review project plans for constructability and engineering accuracy.
• Coordinate field investigations with municipalities and utility providers.
• Support permitting efforts and agency approvals through project lifecycle.
