Job summary

Blue Line Solutions, LLC in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Professional Engineer to develop detailed site plans and traffic studies for automated enforcement technologies and license plate readers. The ideal candidate holds a TN PE license with 5+ years in traffic engineering, strong data analysis, and effective communication with stakeholders.

PTOE is a plus and multi-state licensure is encouraged. This on-site role reports to the VP of Field Operations with competitive benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee; 5+ years in traffic engineering and permitting.
• Willingness to obtain professional licenses in states as needed.
• PTOE designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop site plans for permitting packages related to automated enforcement tech and LPRs.
• Use CAD and engineering software to create accurate site plans.
• Conduct field site visits for precise measurements and equipment placement per MUTCD.
• Perform traffic investigations including school zones, speed studies, and impact analyses.
• Submit or assist with permitting packets and agency submittals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure compliance.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and recommendations for traffic projects.
• Lead project meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings and requirements.
• Assess sites for optimal power availability for electrical utilities and solar.
