Job summary

KeHE Distributors is seeking a Transportation Routing Specialist to plan customer orders, optimize assets, and meet federal requirements. You will route and sequence deliveries, coordinate with customers, sales, and supply chain to ensure reliable service.

The role requires at least three years in transportation/logistics, strong Excel and routing knowledge, and excellent communication. You will work in a collaborative, employee-owned culture and contribute to safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Minimum of three (3) years previous transportation / logistics experience required.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office platforms required.
• Must have a fundamental knowledge of transportation and routing.
• Must be analytical, results-oriented, self-directed, and have excellent time management skills.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Route and sequence orders for delivery and pickup to assure optimum effectiveness and efficiency.
• Effectively integrate new customers or vendors and routes into established business.
• Analyze cost efficiency of existing route configurations and implement improvements.
• Coordinate and work with warehouse management to balance picking volume and inbound PO’s.
• Communicate with customers/sales/supply chain to ensure optimum service levels.
• Support Supervisor or Manager with driver coaching, training, and evaluations.
