Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Router to create and manage delivery routes, optimize Roadnet routing, and coordinate with drivers, transportation, and warehouse teams. The role typically follows a Sunday through Thursday shift and requires strong attention to detail and process discipline.

The position involves establishing cost-effective routes, maintaining route data in Roadnet, and generating KPI reports while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 5 years distribution, logistics, transportation routing experience.
• Basic/Intermediate computer skills including various software applications and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Preferred qualifications include 6-10 years distribution, logistics, transportation routing and/or related administrative experience.
• Experience with routing software applications (Roadnet, AS400) and MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish delivery routes which are cost effective and compliant with Federal DOT guidelines while maintaining customer service, using Roadnet to manage costs.
• Establish routing procedures and schedules to optimize personnel and equipment with driver safety emphasis.
• Perform Roadnet routing maintenance to keep locations with accurate, timely information (routes, time windows, account types, etc).
• Produce costing, off-days, maintenance, scorecard, KPI reporting on scheduled intervals.
• Recap previous days routing results and adjust standard routes as needed.
• Create maps and driving instructions for drivers unfamiliar with the route.
• Produce nightly driver manifest reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
