Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Dallas, TX invites a Summer 2027 Transportation Roadway Intern to join our Transportation Business Group.

You'll gain real-world experience on exciting roadway projects and collaborate with engineers and project teams in an employee-owned culture. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program, with attention to detail, strong problem-solving and communication, and basic MS Office skills.

Join HDR for a Summer 2027 internship in our Transportation Business Group focusing on Transportation Roadway.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Transportation Roadway Intern, we'll count on you to:

• Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals' programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree during Summer 2027.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
