Location: Onsite Rockford

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8AM-5PM

Salary: $17.12 - $21.39/hour based on experience

What work will you perform?

Your primary responsibility will be to manage initial incoming calls and internet applications from potential Owner/Operators interested in leasing and onboarding with Landstar. Your goal is to build rapport and guide candidates through Landstar's application process, ensuring they stay engaged and informed. This involves daily inbound and outbound calls to communicate Landstar's minimum requirements and address any concerns that may delay their application.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Present the Landstar opportunity persuasively to encourage callers to complete the application.
  • Make follow-up calls to ensure candidates complete and return their applications.
  • Meet or exceed monthly goals related to calls, leads, and applications sent to the Qualification Center.
  • Adhere to the daily call center schedule.
  • Participate in coordination, setup, and display of truck shows.
  • File and maintain records for future reference.

Required Minimum Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months call center or customer support experience, or a combination of both

Preferred Experience and Education

  • 6 months transportation/logistics experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills, especially phone etiquette
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Basic knowledge of recruiting practices; ability to engage and retain candidates
