Transportation Project Manager (Roadway)

Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc (CEC) is seeking an entrepreneurial candidate to lead the firm's roadway design efforts in South Carolina as part of expanding our transportation engineering practice. This role offers professional and technical growth opportunities, working with regional teams of transportation professionals. Our practice serves local and state highway departments, as well as markets such as real estate development, solid waste, natural gas, public sector, mining, power, and manufacturing. Initially focusing on NC, SC, and GA, there is potential for nationwide expansion.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• P.E. Registration required
• 10 years' experience in roadway and traffic design services across various markets
• 5 years' experience managing projects and coordinating with disciplines
• Experience in site grading, drainage, hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, utilities
• Preferred: experience in traffic and safety engineering
• Diverse roadway geometric and pavement design, construction documents, Right-of-Way Plans, regulation knowledge
• Proposal preparation and price estimating experience
• Extensive roadway design plan preparation, driveway permitting, Right-of-Way acquisition and application prep
• Knowledge of InRoads and/or AutoCAD
• Strong skills in business development, proposal writing, communication, staff development, organization
• Additional: traffic signal, streetscape, and traffic calming design experience is a plus
