Job summary

Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc. is seeking a transportation-focused Project Manager to lead roadway and municipal infrastructure projects from design through construction.

With a strong pipeline and high-visibility work, you will shape project outcomes and client relationships. You will coordinate design teams, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with DOT standards and permitting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license or near-term licensure.
• 10+ years in transportation engineering.
• Experience with DOT standards, roadway design, and permitting.
• Strong client-facing and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation projects (DOT, roadway, and municipal) from start to finish.
• Serve as main point of contact for clients and agencies (KDOT, local municipalities).
• Oversee design, plans, specs, and permitting.
• Keep projects on schedule, within budget, and moving forward.
• Coordinate internal teams and mentor junior staff.
