Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a Transportation Project Manager in Wisconsin to lead impactful transportation projects, build client relationships, and develop engineering talent. The role emphasizes collaborative delivery, multidisciplinary coordination, and growth within an employee-owned culture.

You will oversee complex roadway programs, manage project teams, produce technical deliverables, and ensure QA/QC compliance while pursuing new business opportunities and sustaining strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher.
• Eight or more years of progressive, hands-on transportation engineering experience.
• Valid PE license and readiness to secure Wisconsin licensure within six months.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of transportation projects for WisDOT, counties, municipalities, and public-sector clients.
• Plan, design, and develop innovative transportation solutions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and review reports, studies, specifications, construction documents, costs, and other technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, stakeholders, and project teams through all stages.
• Drive business development and build lasting client partnerships.
• Monitor financial performance, manage resources, and ensure timely, high-quality completion.
• Oversee QA/QC to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and career development for staff.
