Job summary
Pape-Dawson Engineers in Nashville, TN, is seeking a full-time Transportation Project Engineer responsible for project design and task management within roadway design.
The role collaborates with transportation team members, land surveyors, environmental engineers, construction inspectors, and landscape architects to deliver transportation projects for public and private clients in Tennessee and the Southeast.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering required.
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience with transportation design exposure preferred.
- Tennessee PE license required.
- Experience with roadway plans, TDOT procedures, and permit processes.
- Experience with MicroStation, Geopak, OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong communication and ability to manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Execute transportation design plans, studies, and analyses through project software
- Horizontal and vertical geometric design
- Stormwater/erosion prevention and sediment control/traffic control design
- Directing and training junior staff
- Support project managers in meeting project goals and delivering quality work
- Additional related duties as needed
