Job summary

Bolton & Menk seeks a Transportation Project Engineer, PE to support our transportation, traffic, and municipal projects in the Fargo, Grand Forks, or Bismarck area. The role focuses on coordinating, planning, scheduling, and executing preliminary and final highway design work for diverse communities.

The candidate should bring a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, 4+ years in civil/transportation projects, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including transportation and municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation; travel responsibilities reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed design computations.
• Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design.
• Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assists with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates.
