Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services Team in any transportation office, with preferred locations in Austin, Chicago, or Bellevue. The successful candidate will support content creation for transportation clients, including websites, videos, emails, social media content, presentations, and meetings.

Enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Current students pursuing planning-related degrees are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors or Master's degree in Planning or a related field.
• Master's Degree Preferred.
• Interest in transportation is preferred.
• Interest in public communications and writing is preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator) and/or Canva is a plus.
• Interest in general business marketing is not required.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver integrated strategic communications products and services to transportation clients.
• Support content creation including websites, videos, emails, social media content, presentations, and meeting management.
• Craft collateral explaining technical content for clients, stakeholders, and lay audiences.
