Job summary

CDM Smith invites an intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services team, with preferred locations in Austin, Chicago, or Bellevue. You will deliver integrated strategic communications for transportation clients, creating websites, videos, emails, social content, and presentations, while managing meetings with task forces and client events.

The ideal candidate is enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Planning or related field, has enthusiasm, and can meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or a related field.
• Strong writing abilities and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver integrated strategic communications products and services to transportation clients including DOTs, transportation commissions, toll authorities, and planning agencies.
• Assist content creation including websites, videos, emails, social media content, presentations, and meeting management such as task forces and client events.
• Craft collateral explaining technical content for clients, stakeholders, and lay audiences.
