Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an intern for its Transportation Advisory Services Team to help deliver strategic communications across transportation clients. You will support content creation and client-facing materials while developing writing and project-management skills in a collaborative environment.

Currently pursuing a Planning-related degree, you will gain hands-on experience with websites, emails, social media, and presentations, under guidance from senior staff and across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelors or Master's degree in Planning or a related field.
• Strong writing and communication abilities; capable of creating content for diverse audiences.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Self-starter with the ability to contribute to various assignments across the transportation team.
• Teamwork-first approach and willingness to learn and take on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work with project teams to deliver integrated strategic communications for transportation clients (DOTs, commissions, toll authorities, agencies).
• Support content creation including websites, videos, emails, social media content, presentations, and meeting management (task forces, client events).
• Craft collateral explaining technical content for clients, stakeholders, and lay audiences.
