Job summary

The City of Los Angeles seeks a Supervising Transportation Planner to oversee transportation planning teams within the Departments of Transportation and Airports. You will develop and manage contracted transit services and transportation programs, and analyze issues spanning land use, funding, governance, and policy development.

You'll collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders on transportation matters, coordinate multi-modal corridor studies, and ensure compliance with laws.

Qualifications

• Requirements include degree in Transportation Planning or Transportation Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in the Departments of Transportation and Airports engaged in transportation planning activities.
• Develop and manage contracted City public transit services and transportation programs.
• Research and analyze transportation issues related to land use, funding, governance and policy development.
• Coordinate multi-modal corridor studies with local and state agencies.
