Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced planning professional in Nashville to lead urban and transportation planning initiatives. You will coordinate multi-discipline project teams, conduct research, and develop planning concepts to meet client needs and regulatory expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, client engagement, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering comprehensive analyses and environmental documentation for large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's Degree with 7+ years of experience.
Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Leads internal and external coordination with project team members across disciplines.
Leads client meetings and participates in client interactions.
Conducts research on planning issues, policies, and concepts and formulates recommendations.
Develops conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation planning projects.
Leads the preparation and production of technical plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents.
Leads public and stakeholder engagement and presents information to the community.
Coordinates with clients, sub-consultants, and in-house staff to complete tasks.
Mentors staff and provides direction on project work.
