Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Operations Managers across sites to lead a team, drive safety, quality and performance, and optimize regional logistics. The role requires mentoring and developing teammates, plus strategic planning and staffing to meet goals.

Expect up to 50% travel with availability for overnight and weekend shifts. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 3+ years of management, are preferred, with lean/process improvement experience noted as beneficial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Transportation Area Managers to streamline logistics within each site.
• Ensure safety, quality and performance and customer experience in your region.
• Manage staffing, forecast, and appraise performance; mentor teammates for career progression.
• Travel up to 50% may be required and be flexible to work various hours including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
