Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to perform seasonal road maintenance work for the Agency of Transportation (VTrans). Responsibilities include repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more. Positions may work up to 40 hours per week depending on district needs.

Environmental Factors: Work involves outdoor conditions, exposure to hazards near heavy equipment, hazardous materials, roadside litter, traffic, and emergencies like floods or snow. Use of tools and equipment, lifting materials, and participation in drug testing are required. Overtime, especially in winter, is expected.
Minimum Qualifications: No formal education or experience required. Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Special Requirements: Valid driver's license required; residence near assigned workstation; CDL required for probation; completion of VTTC coursework within six months or enrollment required.
