Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to coordinate and supervise daily transportation and dispatch functions, ensuring DOT and FMCSA compliance while optimizing load planning and on-time performance.

You will lead driver onboarding and training, monitor safety metrics and KPI, and collaborate with warehouse teams to maintain efficient operations. A high school diploma and 2+ years in transportation are required; CDL A is preferred; travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Bachelor’s in transportation, logistics or supply chain preferred.
• Minimum two years of transportation experience in an operations environment.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor transportation team members.
• Oversee driver onboarding, retention and training.
• Ensure DOT and FMCSA training for drivers and warehouse staff.
• Enforce DOT safety policies to maintain compliance.
• Monitor KPI, safety metrics, and routing efficiency.
• Coordinate load planning and on-time performance.
• Review driver files and maintain compliance documentation.
