Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Logistics Operations professional to work on-site at a customer location in the Henderson/Las Vegas area, coordinating transportation, warehouses, and carriers to meet KPIs and ensure OTIF.

You will collaborate with customers and 3PLs, resolve operational issues, monitor inbound/outbound shipments, and support data-driven improvements across TMS/WMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
• 2-4 years in supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation.
• Solid experience with logistics software and systems such as ERP, TMS, and WMS.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and issue-resolution skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data.
• Self-starter with the ability to triage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard operational workflows to manage the flow of goods and materials by coordinating with customers, 3PLs, carriers, and warehouses to meet KPIs and OKRs.
• Proactively identify, address, and resolve operational issues impacting customer satisfaction.
• Arrange transportation for shipments, considering cost, transit time, and mode of transport.
• Drive carrier and service provider performance for Hub and Spoke locations.
• Manage transportation for warehouse inbound/outbound activities and capacity.
• Support data collection and interpretation to improve transportation efficiency.
• Coordinate with multiple parties to resolve delivery issues and implement corrective actions.
• Serve as a primary contact for internal/external stakeholders on logistics inquiries.
• Ensure SOPs are followed between warehouse vendors and carriers.
• Support domestic and international shipments and ensure service providers meet requirements.
• Monitor inbound/outbound deliveries and resolve bottlenecks.

Job Description

This position is based on-site at an Expeditors Customer location in the Henderson/Las Vegas Area.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute standard operational workflows to manage the flow of goods and materials by coordinating with customers, 3PLs, carriers, and warehouses to meet KPIs and OKRs (e.g., OTIF).
• Proactively identify, address, and resolve operational issues that may impact customer satisfaction, working on solutions to improve the overall customer experience.
• Arrange transportation for shipments, considering factors such as cost, transit time, and mode of transport, and handle standard escalations.
• Drive carrier and service provider performance for the Hub and Spoke locations.
• Responsible for the execution of transportation management for warehouse inbound and outbound activities, as well as warehouse and trailer capacity management.
• Support the collection and interpretation of data, providing data analytics to improve the transportation operational efficiency of their assigned locations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties to resolve standard delivery issues and implement corrective actions for ongoing opportunities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal departments, external vendors, and customers regarding logistics-related inquiries and issue resolution.
• Act as a liaison between the warehouse vendor and carrier, ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
• Support domestic and international shipments, ensuring partner carriers meet requirements for critical shipments.
• Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries, proactively resolving bottlenecks in the shipping and receiving processes.
