Amazon is seeking Transportation Operations Managers to work in out sites across the country. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world and we distribute over a billion shipments each year to our loyal customers.
The Transportation Operations Manager has complete responsibility for Transportation Operations at a number of sites within a pre-defined region of the country. This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
3+ years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
Experience managing a team of 2+ salaried employees and 70+ indirect employees
Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvements through: Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
Track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
Experience in: military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production, or distribution environments.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
