Brill, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking a Transportation Manager to align logistics with cost, service, and customer requirements. You will manage transportation activities, optimize the use of our TMS, and lead a cross-functional team.

You will review carrier contracts, promote supplier relationships, analyze data in Excel, and develop KPI dashboards. The role requires strong leadership and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, business or relevant field preferred.
• 5 years of supply chain logistics and transportation experience.
• 5 years of proven work experience as a team manager or supervisor.
• 3-5 years of experience managing Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Highly analytical with proficient Excel and data mining skills.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute transportation activities across the organization.
• Review contracts and rate sheets; benchmark carrier RFQs.
• Deploy, integrate, and maintain TMS for optimization.
• Liaise with transportation partners to foster strong relationships.
• Analyze data to generate cost savings and improve service levels.
• Promote network optimization for low cost, high service.
• Lead teams across transportation, planning, sales, procurement, and customer service.
• Manage load tracking, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Develop carrier and planner scorecards and KPI dashboards.
• Ensure KPIs are met and drive improvements with action plans.
• Lead carrier reviews and implement improvement plans.
• Enhance processes and SOPs with best-practice focus.
• Ensure adequate carrier capacity across plants to meet orders.
• Address claims related to damaged goods and protect company interests.
• Ensure DOT compliance by carriers.
• Serve as backup for Director of Transportation and analysts.
• Support food safety, quality standards, and legality of products.
