Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Experience with the transportation management function is required.
• Experience with account management within a logistics organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all traffic functions relating to freight movement in and out of a facility.
• Direct and supervise inbound/outbound shipment scheduling for economical carrier utilization; resolve scheduling and dispatch problems.
• Manage the defined carrier relationships and monitor performance.
• Develop and implement track and trace processes for timely deliveries and customer updates.
• Develop transition plans for changing business models and service contingencies.
• Direct transportation staff through hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Manage the facility truck fleet, drivers, equipment, dispatching, and maintenance.
• Prepare billings and process freight payments; conduct financial audits for cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and operate transportation information reporting systems and relevant reports.
• Support business development with customer presentations and transportation studies.
• Provide transportation support to customers and coordinate receivers visitation programs.
• Communicate effectively with associates, customers, and carriers to achieve objectives.
• Ensure flawless execution of transportation services and regulatory compliance.
