Job summary

The Everest Search Group is assisting a nationally recognized logistics provider in Savannah, GA to hire a Terminal Manager who will lead a fast-paced operation and oversee all day-to-day activities at the Savannah Terminal.

The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to manage staff across drivers, dockworkers, and supervisors. Experience with drayage, transload, DOT and OSHA knowledge, and P&L understanding are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in drayage, transload, and value-added transportation services.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Understand P&L statements and identify opportunities for production improvement.
• Experience creating a high-trust, high-performance team culture.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.
• Ability to provide structure and planning to meet terminal and regional goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations at Savannah Terminal and manage day-to-day activities.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, standards, and specifications.
• Coordinate assignments, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job training.
• Be on-site to address questions and issues as they arise.
• Ensure adherence to budget and overall financial performance.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting including journal entries and allocations.
• Prioritize workplace safety as a core responsibility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Terminal Manager will lead a fast-paced operation and be responsible for managing all day-to-day operations at their Savannah Terminal.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all metrics, financial results, and development of managers, supervisors, drivers, dockworkers, and other support personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work is performed according to approved procedures, standards, and specifications for all operations.
• Demonstrate operational management experience.
• Coordinate assignments, monitor performance, and provide training on relevant job duties.
• Lead staff in their routine operations and be present on-site to address questions and issues as they arise.
• Accountable for adherence to budget and overall financial performance.
• Maintain a sound and efficient financial reporting process including journal entries, intercompany cost allocations, consolidations, etc.
• Ensure workplace safety is a top priority.

Education and/or Experience:

• Experience in drayage, transload, and value-added transportation services.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA
• Understand P&L statements and analyze areas for production improvement.
• Experience creating a high-trust, high-performance, team culture.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.
