Job summary

Goodwill Industries is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee vehicle operations, drivers, and the movement of donated goods. You will ensure a clean, safe warehouse and manage daily driver scheduling and activities.

The role requires CDL, 3+ years supervisory experience in logistics or transportation, and knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations. You will also train drivers and maintain compliance and documentation.

Qualifications

3 years of supervisory experience in logistics, waste, or transportation.
CDL license required.
Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations and compliance.
Ability to train drivers.
Ability to organize and maintain a safe, orderly warehouse.

Responsibilities

Direct daily activities of truck drivers.
Plan staffing levels to ensure coverage for inventory movement.
Train drivers and maintain driver documentation.
Meet daily routing requirements and execute routes.
Drive when needed and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
Maintain required documentation including staffing and safety records.
Interview, hire, and onboard drivers as needed.
Liaise between Goodwill Industries and clients; uphold service quality.
Ensure staffing, revenue and budgets align with business goals.
May travel to other stores as needed.

Job Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for vehicle operations, drivers and the movement of donated goods through the Goodwill System. Provide a clean, safe, organized warehouse as a clearing hub for donated goods. Responsible for daily scheduling and monitoring driver’s activities

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Technical, Trade or Vocational School Degree or 6 years of management experience or 4 years functional experience required

Experience

Minimum of 3 years prior supervisory experience, preferably in waste, logistics, or transportation

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

CDL

Other

Knowledge of FMCSA/ DOT regulations and compliance
Knowledge of proper safety practices
Knowledge of minor truck maintenance
Ability to drive and train drivers
Ability to organize and maintain a safe, orderly warehouse
Ability to direct workflow
Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of service delivery.

Serves as the liaison between Goodwill Industries and clients
Ensures that staffing, revenue, budgets and financial performance are in accordance with business goals.
May be required to travel to other stores on an as-needed basis.
