Job summary

Alterra is hiring a shuttle driver at Snowshoe, WV. The role involves driving resort shuttle vehicles and supporting daily shuttle operations. A high school diploma is required, with CDL-B and passenger endorsement preferred, plus supervisory experience and computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety equipment and cleanliness of buses.
• Communicate changes and issues daily to the manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Driving the shuttle vehicles provided by the resort
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and coaching drivers
• Scheduling, supervising, coaching, and disciplining department staff
• Supervising the repairs and maintenance of shuttle department resources
• Performing pre-trip inspections, logging all defects, arranging for repairs
• Performing all reports required monthly pertaining to shuttle service.
• Communicating with Transportation Manager daily with any changes to scheduling, additional request, weather holds, route changes or any other operations that affect the shuttle service.
• Adjust and adapt to changing conditions of the resort and re-route vehicles as needed.
• Hold daily meetings with drivers to ensure the drivers are up to date on all resort information.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the buses and maintaining all safety equipment on the bus
• Being knowledgeable about the resort, providing informational literature on the bus, and dispensing information as requested
• Maintaining all safety equipment
• Participating in a random drug and alcohol testing program
• Using the radios provided for each shuttle according to set guidelines and proper radio etiquette
• Adhering to the established routes.
• Training as necessary or required by resort

Driving:

• Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

Preferred Experience:

• 3 years driving experience
• Current and Valid CDL-B with Passenger endorsement
• Previous supervisory experience
• Current computer knowledge

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
