Job summary

Jobot is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join its trucking and transportation defense practice in Pennsylvania. The role targets candidates with 3+ years of civil litigation experience and an active Pennsylvania bar.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Pennsylvania state bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in trucking/transportation defense preferred but not required.
• Background in insurance defense or personal injury encouraged.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating with a team.
• Excellent organizational and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a litigation caseload involving trucking and transportation matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent motor carriers, commercial drivers, and insurers in civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver effective legal representation.
