Job summary

Greenwood Village is seeking a Transportation Aide to join our skilled nursing team. The role includes transporting residents to appointments and activities, assisting with maintenance when transport isn’t scheduled, and helping residents safely board and exit vehicles.

The Transportation Aide will also support care by ensuring comfort, safety, and timely movement of residents to and from events, banking, shopping, and other activities in the community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid State Tested Nursing Assistant certification.
• Ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments and events, and assist with maintenance when no transport is scheduled.
• Drive residents to doctor appointments, banking, shopping or other errands as scheduled.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using wheelchair lifts and ensure safety with belts and locks.

Job description

Greenwood Village, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking aTransportation Aideto join our team. The Transportation Aide would also assist maintenance when there is not a transportation scheduled.

We are looking for a dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant to help residents go to and from appointments!

Responsibilities of Transportation Aide:

• Assure the facility vehicles are clean and properly maintained.
• Keep records of trips and the behavior of passengers.
• Fill vehicle with gasoline at pre-approved service stations.
• Drive residents to events and programs according to the activity schedule.
• Drive residents to doctor appointments.
• Drive residents to do their banking, shopping or other scheduled errands.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using the wheelchair life and/or stairs.
• Ensure residents are safely seated with seat belts or in wheelchair locking mechanisms.
• Account for all residents' presence when leaving or returning to the Community.
• Call residents' rooms for morning reminders.
• Assist residents in wheelchairs during activities outside the Community.
