Job summary

Maple Gardens is seeking a Transportation Aide to join our skilled nursing team. The role includes transporting residents to appointments and activities, and assisting with mobility when transportation is not scheduled.

The Transportation Aide will also support maintenance tasks as needed and help ensure the safety and comfort of residents throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant
• Focus on transporting residents safely and on schedule
• Ability to assist residents in and out of vehicles

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility vehicles are clean and well-maintained
• Record trips and passenger behavior
• Refuel vehicles at approved stations
• Transport residents to appointments, events, and errands
• Assist residents with wheelchairs and seating
• Ensure residents are secured with seat belts or wheelchair locks
• Account for residents when leaving/returning to the Community
• Make morning reminder calls to residents
• Assist residents during activities outside the Community

Maple Gardens, a skilled nursing facility, is seeking aTransportation Aideto join our team. The Transportation Aide would also assist maintenance when there is not a transportation scheduled.

We are looking for a dedicated State Tested Nursing Assistant to help residents go to and from appointments!

Responsibilities of Transportation Aide:

• Assure the facility vehicles are clean and properly maintained.

• Keep records of trips and the behavior of passengers.

• Fill vehicle with gasoline at pre-approved service stations.

• Drive residents to events and programs according to the activity schedule.

• Drive residents to doctor appointments.

• Drive residents to do their banking, shopping or other scheduled errands.

• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle using the wheelchair life and/or stairs.

• Ensure residents are safely seated with seat belts or in wheelchair locking mechanisms.

• Account for all residents' presence when leaving or returning to the Community.

• Call residents' rooms for morning reminders.

• Assist residents in wheelchairs during activities outside the Community.
