Now Hiring an Experienced Transportation Lead with a CDL

Local company is looking to hire a Transportation Lead who will assist in the management of the fleet, routes, drivers, and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities May Include the following:

1. Provide driver training, performance feedback, and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary
2. Directly supervise all activities of drivers and support personnel
3. Provide guidance to subordinates on goals and objectives
4. Be responsible for driver development, accountability, coaching and counseling
5. Assist with the scheduling and routing of drivers
6. Assist with building routes by organizing customer deliveries into the most efficient, cost-effective routes possible
7. Assist with scheduling maintenance and repairs of fleet
8. Assist with resolving delivery issues and customer complaints/concerns
9. Ensure routes, drivers, and fleet stay DOT compliant
10. Assist with accident investigation

Skills & Experiences:

1. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
2. 5-7 years of transportation supervisory/management experience
3. In-depth knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
4. Possessing a valid Class A CDL
5. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word
6. Ability to analyze and critically evaluate situations
7. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

1. Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently for sustained periods of time
2. Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl
3. Exposure to a variety of environmental conditions: weather, temperature, lighting, and noise as determined by circumstances at accounts within assigned territory
