Job summary

Carboline, a St. Louis-based coatings manufacturer and part of RPM International, offers a 12-week Transportation Intern internship for Summer 2027. The role includes scheduling shipments, carrier interactions, and attending daily logistics meetings to learn operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Transportation team to ensure timely, accurate processing and shipment of customer orders.

• Coordinate last‑minute shipping requests and schedule pickups with the distribution team.
• Generate, organize, and maintain all documentation and instructions related to customer orders.
• Monitor shipments and customer responses to routing requests using reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Available to work 30-40 hours per week from May through August.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office‑based with extended computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
• Students must have housing arrangements in or near St. Louis, MO for the summer, as housing allowance is not provided.
• No unusual lifting, environmental, or exertion requirements.

Essential Functions

• Partner with the Transportation team to ensure timely, accurate processing and shipment of customer orders.
