Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to gain real-world experience on exciting transportation projects and learn through mentoring with our employee-owned team.

The role focuses on applying standard engineering techniques to prepare plans and specifications, under direct supervision, with a preference for candidates in the Denver office who are local or returning students.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Attention to detail
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
• Preferred focus on transportation, including roadway, bridge, aviation, transit, hydraulics, and traffic design
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
• Internship will be held in the Denver office, preference will be given to returning and local candidates

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
