Job summary

Wight & Company seeks a Summer Intern in the Field Transportation & Infrastructure track to gain hands-on experience on Chicagoland projects. You will work on-site under supervising engineers, supporting field operations and client coordination.

The internship targets current students pursuing Civil Engineering degrees, with interest in transportation and infrastructure. On-site travel within Chicagoland is required; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing Bachelor's/Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in Transportation & Infrastructure.

• Good organization and computer skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel to and from assigned job site in the Chicagoland area.
• Past design and/or delivery work experience a plus.

• Oversee, inspect, and monitor contractor's operations under the direction of supervising engineers.
• Review, interpret, and correct errors in plans and calculations.
• Maintain and organize construction records.
• Attend team and client meetings in house and on-site for construction projects.

Salary Range: $20 - $25. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
