Position Overview

We are seeking a Geotechnical Business Class Lead to oversee deep foundation design and construction, develop a cohesive geotechnical community in the southeast US, and represent HDR to clients. The role involves building relationships across business groups, developing technical expertise, and supporting strategic growth. Responsibilities include staff management, project leadership, marketing, and training.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate geotechnical practice excellence and innovation.
2. Manage and mentor geotechnical staff.
3. Engage in project delivery, including resource reviews and technical oversight.
4. Develop marketing strategies and participate in client interactions.
5. Support strategic planning and community of practice initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE registration in AL, FL, MS, SC, and TN within 6 months.
• Master's in Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Expertise in foundation design, soil and rock mechanics, and geotechnical software.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional registration and leadership experience.
