Job summary

Zing Recruiting seeks an experienced CDL Class A Fleet Driver for our client in Milford, IN. This role safely transports high-value parts between facilities, vendors, and customers, requiring 2+ years of truck driving and a clean driving record.

You will operate semi-tractors and various trucks, plan routes, ensure safety, and handle loading/unloading. The position is direct hire with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM shift, 40–50 hours weekly, with occasional Saturdays and overtime.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required.
• Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience.
• Safe driving record with 0-1 traffic tickets within the past 3 years.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work around large equipment and loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Forklift and overhead crane training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver high-value parts and products between facilities, vendors, and customers.
• Operate semi-tractors, straight trucks, 1-ton trucks, trailers, and other company vehicles.
• Plan and organize delivery routes for efficient transportation.
• Properly connect, operate, and maneuver trailers following safety requirements.
• Assist with loading and unloading parts and products.
• Set up and remove trailer equipment (sideboards, chains, tarps, load locks).
• Secure loads and ensure vehicle safety and weight compliance.
• Complete DOT and driver logs daily, accurately and on time.
• Monitor vehicles and report issues to maintenance.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and proper handling of products.
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful deliveries.
• Perform other transportation-related duties as needed.

• Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and proper handling of products.
• Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful deliveries and pickups.
• Perform other transportation-related duties as needed.

Requirements

• CDL Class A required.
• Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience required.
• Safe driving record with 0-1 traffic tickets within the past 3 years.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work around large equipment and loads.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good problem-solving and basic math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred.
• Must be flexible and willing to work occasional Saturdays and overtime.
• Forklift and overhead crane training will be provided.

Work Environment

• Frequent local travel within approximately a 100-mile radius of Milford, IN.
• Outdoor work environment with exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Moderate to loud noise levels.
• May work in greasy or dirty areas.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• Must be comfortable working around trucks, trailers, large loads, and industrial equipment.
