Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Transportation, Automotive Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years in business development, strategic sales, account management, partnerships, or program management.
  • Experience in commercial vehicles, transportation, automotive, electrification, energy storage, fleet services, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of OEM and supplier relationship management.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing proposals, commercial agreements, pricing strategies, and business presentations.
  • Willingness to travel as required throughout North America.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account strategies targeting key decision-makers across engineering, sourcing, product management, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Lead commercial discussions involving partnership structures, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and long-term business planning.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, vehicle electrification initiatives, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Build expertise in the school transportation industry, including vehicle classifications, procurement practices, fleet operations, and funding considerations.
  • Engage with school districts, transportation contractors, state agencies, and industry organizations to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support initiatives aimed at accelerating fleet electrification through sustainable and economically viable solutions.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor offerings, purchasing trends, dealer channels, and industry developments.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies and customer engagement plans for advanced transportation technologies.
  • Serve as the primary commercial liaison for strategic accounts and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, operations, finance, and legal teams to address customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Develop presentations, proposals, business cases, and executive-level communications.
  • Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, transportation conferences, and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and CRM documentation.

This individual will play a key role in expanding strategic relationships across vehicle manufacturers, dealer networks, fleet operators, public transportation stakeholders, and electrification ecosystem partners.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the North American school transportation market and the evolving transition toward electric mobility. This role requires a commercially driven professional who can identify new business opportunities, develop long-term partnerships, and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, procurement, and executive leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development
  • Establish and grow relationships with vehicle manufacturers, dealer organizations, fleet operators, and transportation industry partners.
