Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. in Exton, PA is seeking a motivated Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience on roadway projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers.

Interns will work a 40-hour week for at least 10 weeks between mid-May and August, with a dedicated supervisor and mentor, attending planned activities. No prior experience required; ABET-accredited program students encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Entry level position with no prior experience required.
• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited college engineering program.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of construction plans for transportation and roadway projects.
• Support engineering calculations, interpretation of drawings/specifications, and quantity take-offs.
• Help design and prepare construction drawings for various transportation projects using CADD software.
• Contribute to the development of engineering reports, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Assist in coordinating work between multiple engineering disciplines.
• Participate in proposal preparation and other project support tasks.
• Gain exposure to industry standards, design practices, and project delivery methods.
