Job summary

IMEG Corporation invites you to join our Transportation Engineering internship on Long Island, NY. Over 10–12 weeks, you will support analysis, design, field inspections, and documentation while learning the transportation engineering trade.

You will work with experienced engineers in a collaborative, hybrid setting, gaining exposure to municipal and environmental projects across Long Island and NYC. Sponsorship is not available, but interns receive meaningful hands-on experience and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing BS in Civil Engineering with at least 2 years completed.
• Willingness to assist with surveying and materials testing in the field.
• Strong interest in design consulting and client-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Assist transportation design for highway, bridge, transit, and multimodal projects per IMEG standards.
• Research available equipment and project resources.
• Support client relations, document project notes, and maintain permanent records.
