A government agency in Connecticut is seeking a Transportation Engineer Trainee. Transportation Engineer Trainee (Engineering) - Location: Newington, CT and DOT Headquarters in Newington, CT; Full Time; 40 hours per week; First shift; Travel for training, conferences, meetings, field reviews, etc. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required and must be maintained. After successful completion of a one-year training program, promotion opportunities to Transportation Engineer 1 (Engineering) or Transportation Engineer 1 (Construction Engineering) are available.

Salary: Transportation Engineer Trainee: $72,629 annually (promotional opportunities as noted); after training, potential progression to Transportation Engineer 2 with higher salary ranges as described in the job posting.
