Job summary

AECOM is seeking a creative, motivated Mid-Level Transportation Engineer for our Des Moines, Iowa office. You will perform portions of engineering assignments, gather data, and work on routine calculations with guidance while advancing design elements within budget and schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering and a Iowa PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months). U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation reimbursement is available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Iowa or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• U.S. Citizenship required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform portions of a broader engineering assignment under supervision.
• Gather and correlate data using established procedures.
• Work on routine engineering tasks involving calculations and tests.
• Propose approaches to new problems leveraging prior methods.
• Identify discrepancies in results and propose fixes.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers and junior staff.
• Complete primary design elements within budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Independently execute tasks to advance project design.
