Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Transportation Engineer to lead roadway design projects from planning through construction in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

You will oversee geometric design, drainage, utilities, and hydraulic aspects while coordinating with IDOT and municipal clients. The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license in Illinois, 8+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or MicroStation plus MS Word/Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Active Illinois PE license.
Experience with IDOT and Illinois municipal transportation projects preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience preferred.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead roadway geometric, drainage, utility, and hydraulic design.
Oversee traffic analysis, signal design, and maintenance of traffic plans.
Manage IDOT Phase I/II design projects and public involvement activities.
Review engineering plans for regulatory compliance.
Coordinate with municipalities, utility districts, and state agencies.
