Purpose

Execute complex technical transportation engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for transportation and infrastructure projects. Assist in developing sustainable transportation solutions to improve community livability by reducing traffic congestion, promoting multiple modes of transportation, supporting land development, and enhancing safety for all users.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Direction: Receive guidance on key objectives and policy matters. Independently apply engineering principles, review work for quality, and serve as a lead or mentor within the team.
• Operational and Company Level: Collaborate with senior members, assist with marketing efforts, and coordinate with other disciplines and internal groups.
• Project Work: Work alongside project teams on transportation projects, prepare maps, graphics, reports, and assist with public and stakeholder engagement. Lead tasks in project phases, monitor progress, and ensure quality and adherence to schedules and budgets.

Success Metrics and Competencies

• Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively through presentations and reports.
• Experience with transportation engineering design, QA/QC, and relevant software tools.
• Strong data analysis, marketing, and professional growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; coursework in transportation engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years with extensive transportation engineering background.
• EIT registration required; PE registration preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and traffic analysis software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks.

Physical Demands & Environment

Primarily office work with occasional outdoor site visits, physical activity, and travel as needed.
