What You'll Do:

  • Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
  • Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
  • Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.
  • Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
  • Able to self-sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Technical Report Production & Modification: You'll be the backbone of report creation, from research and data analysis to writing and editing technical documents like IMRs, SIMRs, IOARs, PTARs, traffic impact analyses, and safety studies. Expect to translate complex data into clear, concise reports for various audiences.

  • Engineering Studies & Conceptual Planning: You'll contribute to various studies, including analyzing interchange/intersection traffic, assessing safety concerns, and evaluating network operations using simulation tools and demand modeling. This involves applying your STEM knowledge directly to real-world problems and proposing innovative solutions.

  • Assisting Senior Experts: You'll be a crucial support system for senior project managers and engineers. Expect to gather data, perform practical tasks related to traffic engineering, transportation planning, and demand modeling, and learn from experienced professionals.

What We Prefer:

  • STEM degree (engineering, transportation, etc.) with coursework in traffic engineering, transportation planning, and demand modeling.

  • Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.

  • Experience with traffic data analysis software, simulation tools, and demand modeling software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
