Salary Range
- Transportation Engineer I (B24): $65,104 - $106,634
- Transportation Engineer II (B25): $69,572 - $114,099
- Transportation Engineer III (B26): $76,530 - $129,430
- Transportation Engineer IV (B27): $84,182 - $142,374
- Transportation Engineer V (B28): $92,600 - $156,612
Note: The specific level will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and business needs.

- Location: New Braunfels Area/Mnt Office, 4102 IH 35 SOUTH, New Braunfels, 78130
- Travel: Approximately 5%
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 am - 5 pm; Onsite

Core Responsibilities
- Perform advanced transportation engineering work in planning, design, construction, operations, and research.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, policies, and standards.
- Coordinate with governmental officials and private entities.
- Assist project managers with design tasks, plan development, and reports.
- Develop and review engineering documents, specifications, and estimates.
- Lead programs, monitor projects, and manage resources.
- Analyze construction issues and serve as project manager for consultants.
- Lead and train staff, oversee complex projects, and coordinate team efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science.
- Valid driver’s license; licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- For bridge inspections: certification as specified.
- Experience with design, planning, and project management tools and principles.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Subject to environmental conditions, noise, hazards, and requiring protective gear.
- Light physical activity; pre-employment physical and drug testing required.
- Work involves repetitive motions, visual acuity, and communication skills.
