Job Description

Join our CDM Smith team in Indianapolis! We are growing the team, and this is an excellent opportunity to participate in client-focused activities and take on leadership and client-oriented tasks.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by;
-Providing technical services for the design of transportation projects, including urban and rural highways and roads.
-Contributing to CDM Smith's mission to grow the department by participating in project pursuits.
-Will work under the direction of a Project Manager, leading task teams designing drainage and roadway design elements.
-Acting independently on technical matters.
-Act as a mentor for junior-level employees.
-Working in a multi-disciplinary environment, closely coordinating with team members.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
-3 years of related experience.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
-Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience working with INDOT.
-Experience with roadway drainage design, including ditches, small pipe culverts, storm sewer systems, outfall analysis, and drainage investigations.
-Experience with roadway design
-Experience using MicroStation CADD and Drainage Software, HY8, HEC-RAS, HEC1 or HEC-HMS.
-Experience using OpenRoads Designer.
