Transportation Engineer 1 - Local Programs Project Management, PN 20060609 What You Will Do:Collaborate with Local Public Agencies to program, plan, and deliver future projects.
Assemble, review, and submit proper documentation for plan and award packages.
Meet with local public officials and consultant with them regarding project design.
Verify federal funds and eligibility of various work items for federal funding.
Confer with supervisor or higher-level engineer regarding complex or unusual projects/plans.
Track project progress and review plan submittals from Local Public Agencies.

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

If operating state-owned vehicle, must show proof of valid driver's license OR must provide own transportation.
Requires valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration of Professional Engineers & Surveyors.
This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.
All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.
Position will be filled pursuant to the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
