Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineer 1 for Local Programs Project Management in Sidney, OH. This full-time role focuses on program planning, documentation, and coordination with local public agencies.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

If operating state-owned vehicle, must show proof of valid driver's license OR must provide own transportation.

Requires valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration of Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.

All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.

Position will be filled pursuant to the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
